Flying over the valley of fire

As I have mentioned in my last post, on Day 3 we took a helicopter ride over the western coast of Big Island over the gorgeous waterfalls and active volcanoes with never before seen sights of lava fields. When we first planned for Big island, one of the “must do” activity we had planned was trekking over the lava fields , but as that time lava was flowing only in the legally inaccessible areas by hiking, only way to see was through a Helicopter tour, And I can only say, it was one of the most spectacular view we have experienced.

Aerial Photography can be a little challenging as you are taking still shots from a very fast moving Helicopter, So stabilizing images, focusing, maintaining exposure & tackling reflection(as you are taking shots behind a glass window) needs some of preparation & quick on-spot improvisations at the same time.  It was my first attempt in that, Hope you enjoy the photos..
